The advertising profession in Nigeria has evolved significantly since its official recognition in 1988, supported by key sectoral associations such as AAAN, OAAN, BON, NPAN, MIPAN, ADVAN, and EXMAN, all now represented on the Governing Council of ARCON. Self-regulatory efforts and ARCON’s interventions have elevated advertising as a leading profession.
The upcoming National Advertising Conference, scheduled for November 12-14, 2025, at the Abuja Continental Hotel, will focus on the theme: “Marketing Communication: Transforming Businesses and Creating Growth in Challenging Times.” Building on the success of the 2024 edition, which drew over 400 delegates, this conference will provide a platform for C-level executives, industry professionals, and scholars to discuss trends and strategies for sustainable growth in marketing communications. It aims to be the largest gathering of its kind in Africa, highlighting Nigeria’s role as a hub of creativity and innovation.
